Setup Force Update

Step 1: Select Update Type
  • Mandatory: Choose this option if you want the update to be compulsory for all users. In this case, users must update the app to continue using it.
  • Optional: Choose this option if you want to give users the choice to update. Users can either proceed with the update or continue using the current version.

Step 2: Select App Version(s)
  • Use the drop-down menu to choose the version of the app that the force update will apply to. You can select one or multiple versions depending on your needs. Either mandatory or optional update can be created for a version.

Step 3: Create a Message Form
  • For Mandatory Updates: You will set up a message with a positive Call to Action (CTA) that prompts users to update the app. Since this is mandatory, the message will only include an option to proceed with the update.

  • For Optional Updates: You will create a message with both a positive and a negative CTA. The positive CTA will encourage users to update the app, while the negative CTA will allow them to skip the update for now.

Step 4: Confirm and Create the Update
  • After configuring the above settings, finalize the update by confirming your selections. The update will then be successfully created and pushed to users.
