Slack

Fusion enables direct integration with Slack to enhance communication and workflow efficiency. Follow the steps below to set up the integration:

Step 1:

  • Go to https://slack.com  and either log in to your Slack workspace or create a new one if you don’t already have one.

Step 2:

  • Create a dedicated channel for bug reports.
  • In Slack, click + Add channels then create a new channel
  • Name the channel (e.g. #bug-reports)
  • Choose visibility as it can either be public/private

  • Give your app a name and select the Slack workspace where you want bugs to appear.

Step 5:

  • In your newly created app dashboard, go to Incoming Webhooks and toggle Activate Incoming Webhooks to ON.

Step 6:

  • Click Add New Webhook to Workspace and choose the Slack channel where you want to receive bug notifications. Then authorize the connection.

Step 7:

  • Copy the generated Webhook URL from the Slack app settings.

Step 8:

  • Go to the Bugs section in Fusion and click on the Integrations button. Paste the copied Slack Webhook URL into the provided field.

Step 9:

  • Save the configuration. Fusion will now be connected to your Slack workspace through the webhook.

Step 10:
Report a test bug in Fusion to confirm the integration. Once configured, your team will begin receiving instant bug details in Slack, including:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Reproduction steps
  • Priority level
  • Optional: attachments, markdown, emoji
