Netstats

Netstats provides a high-level view of anomalies in digital services, helping you determine whether each service is operating healthily with respect to its journey. It identifies real-time challenges directly from the mobile app and surfaces them in a transparent way, enabling enterprises to proactively resolve issues before they impact end users.
Assessing an application's network statistics is essential for maintaining usability without requiring technical expertise. Netstats provides a journey-level breakdown, allowing enterprises to analyze and determine if specific systems require intervention. Key aspects include:

  • Network Degradation: Analyzes the overall health of the app and highlights recurrent network degradation.
  • Customizable Journeys: Enables the creation of tailored journeys to study patterns and system behavior, better suited to specific needs.
  • System Health: Ensures system stability and uncovers deeper issues that may not be immediately apparent.

The Netstats dashboard is presented in a slideshow format, allowing you to move through key views one by one to understand the health and performance of your app. Each slide focuses on a different aspect of service monitoring.

Dashboard Components

Service Health Graph

This graph offers an overview of the overall health of services provided by the app. It provides a quick visual assessment of whether key services are operating normally or experiencing issues.

Fault Classification Graph

This graph highlights system-level challenges specific to Android and iOS platforms, facilitating the identification of platform specific problem areas. This graph offers an overview of the overall health of services provided by the app. It provides a quick visual assessment of whether key services are operating normally or experiencing issues.

Journey’s Health Graph

This section displays the health of individual user journeys, enabling the detection of issues tied to specific user flows.

Services Graphs

The Services section provides detailed performance graphs for individual APIs. Each API is tracked over time with health percentages categorized as Good, Normal, or Critical, making it easier to identify unstable or degraded services that require attention.

Services View

In the Services section, you can see detailed issues for each journey. Selecting a specific journey opens a dedicated view that isolates problems related to that journey, simplifying prioritization and resolution for high-impact paths.

  • Success / Failure of Journey: This dial gauge shows the distribution of Success, Validation Errors, and Failures for the selected journey, offering a concise snapshot of overall performance.
  • Identified Issues: A bar chart categorizes recurring problems, allowing teams to quickly pinpoint and address the most common sources of disruption.
  • System Stability Graph: A timeline view of stability across multiple days, showing the proportions of Success, Validation, and Failures, helps track trends and spot anomalies.
  • Top APIs Table: This ranking highlights the most critical APIs for the journey, along with their respective rates of success, validation issues, and network errors. It identifies which APIs are the primary contributors to instability.
  • Journey Flow Diagram: A flowchart maps out the end-to-end steps of the journey (e.g. Mobile Top-up), with health indicators at each stage for both iOS and Android. Each node reflects success, validation, and failure rates, helping teams identify where users encounter friction within the flow.

Progressive Insights

Netstats leverages real-time insights from app store reviews to connect technical performance with user sentiment. These insights are available for both Android and iOS platforms, enabling product teams to connect technical issues with real user sentiment to foster efficient communication and eliminate divides. This includes include:

  • Negative Reviews: Automatically extracts key problem points from user feedback on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  • Positive Reviews & Feature Highlights: Surfaces favorable comments, user praises, and valued features.
  • Sentiment History Graph: A timeline view of positive, neutral, and negative reviews, providing visibility into how user sentiment evolves alongside app performance.
  • Ratings Breakdown: A star-wise breakdown (1 to 5 stars) highlights the percentage distribution of user ratings and their corresponding sentiment mix (positive, neutral, negative).
  • Incident Analysis: Categorized tables for Bugs, Crashes, Updates, Fraud, and Legal Issues show how technical incidents correlate with user ratings and sentiment. This connects backend stability with real-world user impact.
